Our Programs

Court & Law Enforcement Advocacy

Our Court and Law Enforcement Advocates provide support and resources while navigating legal systems.

Court Advocacy

The DVRC Court Advocates are often the first point of contact for survivors when navigating the legal system after domestic violence occurs. Advocates provide comprehensive, trauma-informed support throughout legal proceedings, including assistance with requesting restraining orders, education regarding court processes, and coordination with community-based resources. The goal is to enhance survivor access to justice, promote informed decision making, and support pathways towards safety and independence.

Law Enforcement Advocacy

The Law Enforcement Advocate works collaboratively with the South County police departments to enhance coordinated community responses to domestic violence, sexual assault, and stalking. This role often provides on-scene and follow-up crisis intervention, safety planning, information, and referrals. The advocate also supports survivors in navigating the criminal justice system while prioritizing survivor autonomy and safety.

You Don’t Have to Face This Alone.‌

Our advocates are here to listen, support, and help you explore your options.
