Community Outreach and Education
DVRC’s prevention efforts aim to increase awareness and reduce the risk of interpersonal violence through community-based education, outreach, and collaboration. Programs are designed to reach all ages and demographics, ensuring that education is accessible, inclusive, and culturally responsive. Recognizing that friends, family members, and colleagues are often the first to identify signs of abuse, these initiatives aim to equip both community members and professionals with the knowledge and tools to respond effectively. Strengthening these informal and formal support networks is critical to early intervention and connecting survivors to supportive services.
Youth Services
DVRC’s youth programs educate, empower, and support young people as they navigate relationships, identity, and personal growth. Prevention-focused programming helps youth recognize unhealthy behaviors, build self-esteem, and develop healthy relationship skills in safe and inclusive environments. Programs are engaging, age-appropriate, culturally relevant, and focused on education, empowerment, and early intervention.
